Justin is a Professional Engineer with over 10 years of full-time experience in multi-discipline engineering environments. Justin has held both technical and personnel leadership roles that were focused on the safe, economic and sustainable delivery of various client’s project objectives. He has participated in a variety of civil and geotechnical projects across Canada and internationally principally as an Engineering Consultant in land development, infrastructure development, and energy production including renewable energy. Justin had the responsibility of directing a team of professionals and keeping track of multiple projects simultaneously. Our Solution
Interactive dashboards address this problem by integrating different sources of information in a visual and intuitive manner. Through a dashboard, which uses descriptive analytics, one can see what is normally hard, if not impossible, to see. These insights are “aha! moments” that further one’s understanding. The dashboards also enable collaboration by
overcoming organizational and data silos—especially when they are shared among diverse stakeholders. A specific question of interest guides and focuses the content of dashboard.
Fuzeium is a Calgary-based management consulting group that specializes in building interactive dashboards with clients. The team is made up of Roger Miley, Paula Jennings and Chris Semanciw, all of whom originally met while working at Shell. They now bring a varied and rich set of skills to Fuzeium that includes aspects of Engineering, Geoscience, Information / Data Management, Data Analytics, Information Technology, and Project / Program Management.
The Fuzeium team has created a series of educational Demo dashboards available on their website pertaining to Alberta Drilling History, Alberta Inactive Wells and Alberta Orphan Wells.
One of ReSourceYYC’s newest members is Action Land & Environmental Services Ltd. This land and environmental consulting firm based in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Kindersley Saskatchewan has now set-up their Calgary office in the ReSourceYYC workspace. Their presence in Calgary started in April of 2014 with the hiring Janice Redmond as their Business Development/Project Manage. With the recent growth of the Environmental division of March 2016, Melissa Morrison was brought on in early October 2016 as the Environmental Manager and they two managers needed a professional space to work from and they chose ReSourceYYC.
Janice and Melissa have both previously worked at service companies, they are aware of what clients need and how to make things happen. This "dynamic duo" is taking the land and environmental world to the next level. Interesting fact about these two is that they both did their undergraduate degrees at University of New Brunswick, with some time overlap but never met til working in Calgary. They are natural collaborators and fun to have in the workspace.

One of ReSourceYYC’s members is Connate Water Solutions Inc. Connate Water Solutions Inc. is focused on low-cost groundwater exploration and hydrogeology consulting in Alberta and British Columbia. We offer a diversified list of services including water supply licensing, aquifer testing, regulatory compliance and sustainable energy development. As an example, Connate Water Solutions is on a mission to reduce hydraulic fracturing water sourcing costs with the flip of a switch! Sourcing and drilling groundwater supply wells directly on-lease eliminates the need for expensive water trucks, is a more sustainable water source when compared to the status quo (ex. lakes and rivers) and can reduce all-in water costs by up to 70%.
Geoff Kovacik M.Sc. P.Geo. is a born and raised Calgarian who is passionate about water. He believes that water regulations in Alberta are only going to get more stringent and this presents a unique opportunity to service this niche market. Geoff graduated from the University of Waterloo with an M.Sc. in Hydrogeology and an undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary. He is a licensed professional geoscientist with APEGA and has 6 years of experience in physical hydrogeology and water licensing for the oil and gas industry.

Colin Jeschke is also part of the Mission Geospatial team. Mission was founded on April 5, 2005 and started operating the following year. Mike is a professional land surveyor with over 30 years of experience. Mike's career in geomatics has taken him from the Arctic to SE-Asia, with many points in between, and has encompassed many different aspects from the smallest municipal jobs, through national infrastructure projects, to some of the largest and most challenging resource projects in Canada. Mike is expert in boundary determination, control surveys, error analysis, legacy data audit and integration, project management, execution and optimization. Bill founded Final Frontiers Systems Corp., an MSP, providing services in Alberta, Canada in 1996. Over the years, as technology developed. the volume of data accumulated by the business and increased, however his ability to leverage this information into effective management did not. Bill recognized this as a widespread problem faced by many growing organizations as the volume of data we collect continues to grow exponentially.
When it comes to a growing business, the ability to make the right decisions quickly and get good return on your investment is vital. While Bill and his team needed customized BI, they didn’t have the resources of the larger enterprises so they developed a series of visual, key operational metrics in-house. This live dashboard provided key information for the day to day operations of the company. This was further developed into key metrics and reports to enable every individual in every role to have the information they need at their fingertips. Thus, LiveDash was founded in 2016.
